What is the notice period?
Calculate the correct notice period based on employment duration and age. Based on the Working Environment Act § 15-3.
Used to calculate extended notice periods for employees over 50.
Date the notice is given. The notice period runs from the 1st of the following month.
Notice periods (WEA § 15-3)
- —Under 5 years employed: 1 month
- —5+ years employed: 2 months
- —10+ years employed: 3 months
- —10+ years and age 50+: 4 months
- —10+ years and age 55+: 5 months
- —10+ years and age 60+: 6 months
- —Probation period: 14 days
The notice period always runs from the 1st of the month after the notice was given. During probation, it runs date-to-date.
