Terms of Service

Last updated: April 9, 2026

1. About the Service

Driftdok provides ready-made document templates for the hospitality industry in Norway. Documents are generated automatically based on the information you provide during ordering (company name, organisation number, municipality, and optional logo) and delivered digitally as DOCX and XLSX files.

2. Ordering and Payment

  • All prices are stated in Norwegian kroner (NOK). Driftdok is not currently VAT-registered, so prices are excluding VAT. If we become VAT-registered, prices will be updated accordingly.
  • Payment is a one-time charge via Stripe or invoice (Fiken). No subscription is created.
  • After successful payment, documents are generated automatically and delivered to the email address provided.
  • Upgrades: If you have already purchased a package, you upgrade directly from your personal workspace (the link in your order confirmation). You only pay the difference and your documents regenerate automatically. Upgrades cannot be placed via the main order form.

3. Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act (angrerettloven) § 22(m), digital content delivered immediately after purchase falls outside the scope of the right of withdrawal. By completing your purchase, you consent to immediate delivery and thereby waive your right of withdrawal.

If you experience technical issues with delivery, contact us at post@driftdok.no and we will find a solution.

4. Nature of Documents

The delivered documents are templates based on current Norwegian regulations for the hospitality industry. They are designed to help you meet the requirements, but:

  • The documents do not constitute legal advice.
  • You are responsible for adapting the documents to your specific business and situation.
  • We recommend reviewing the documents with your municipality, accountant, or legal advisor before use.
  • Driftdok is not liable for consequences resulting from the use of documents without adequate customisation.

5. Usage Rights

After purchase, you receive a non-exclusive, perpetual right to use, edit, and adapt the delivered documents for internal use within your organisation. You may not resell, distribute, or share the document templates with third parties outside your organisation.

6. Storage and Access

Your documents are stored securely for 5 years after purchase and can be re-downloaded during this period via the download page. We recommend that you also keep a local copy of your documents. Driftdok is not liable for loss arising from sole reliance on our online storage.

7. Limitation of Liability

Driftdok provides document templates "as is" and makes no warranties beyond those required by Norwegian consumer law.

  • We do not guarantee that the documents are sufficient for all types of businesses or municipalities.
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific document package.
  • We are not liable for indirect losses, consequential damages, or lost profits.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms. Material changes will be announced on the website. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

9. Business Customers (B2B)

The Driftdok service is primarily directed at businesses in the hospitality sector. For purchases made in the course of business, the Norwegian Consumer Purchases Act does not apply, and the right of withdrawal under the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act is not available. Such purchases are governed by general contract law and the Norwegian Sale of Goods Act (1988). The limitation of liability in § 7 applies in full to business customers.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Any disputes shall first be attempted resolved amicably. If this is not possible, the dispute shall be settled by the Norwegian courts with Oslo District Court as the legal venue.

11. Complaints

Consumers have a right to complain to the Norwegian Consumer Authority (forbrukertilsynet.no) for trade-related disputes. For privacy-related complaints, contact the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet), Postboks 458 Sentrum, 0105 Oslo — datatilsynet.no — phone +47 22 39 69 00.
